COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. (WZZM) - The giant Fifth Third Burger is getting national attention again.

Filling Station Remodel Complete

If you stopped in to refuel with a meal at The Filling Station recently, you may have been greeted by a 'Closed for Remodeling' sign at the front door. The day after Labor Day, the restaurant closed for a nine day remodel that included changes to the dining area including installing new carpet, new ceiling tiles, new booth upholstery, and removing one row of booths and replacing it with tables and chairs.  The kitchen also received some updating including replacing two of the grills and coolers.

The rest of the decor - memorabilia from old gas stations, road signs and license plates - remains the same.

The Christopoulos family purchased The Filling Station back in March of this year.  They also own six Mr.
