My Town: Culver's to donate a portion of sales to Honor Flight
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—A group of local restaurants are joining the effort to ensure veterans get a chance to see their war memorials in our nation’s capitol.
Seven area Culver’s restaurants will host fundraisers Tuesday, May 20 for the Honor Flight Network, a nonprofit group that transports veterans to the national monuments. Ten percent of sales on May 20 will go toward the effort.
“We’re happy for the opportunity to support the Honor Flight network and we hope our guests will too,” says Craig Culver, co-founder of the restaurant chain. “Men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our freedom are true heroes,” added Culver.
