KHHS Conducts Annual Food Drive

KHHS Conducts Annual Food Drive

Congratulations to the Walker Youth Commission, who once again organized and executed a successful holiday food drive here at KHHS. Competition was held between first hour classes to collect food items to be distributed to needy families in the Walker area, working with the Walker Police Department. On Friday, Dec. 10, students who donated at least 2 food items earned the privilege to participate in a “hat day.” Ms. Soderquist’s first hour class was the overall winner in the first hour competition but the students decided to forego the grand prize incentive of an IHOP breakfast. The students in her class decided to donate the grand prize back instead of earning “reward” for making donations.
