Yule Run, I’ll Walk Returns

Register your family soon for this 5th annual family oriented event. This fun activity gives participants the opportunity to “preview” the Christmas Lite Show at Fifth Third Ballpark located at 4500 W. River Drive in Comstock Park before it is open to the general public on November 26th.

This 5K takes place on Saturday, November 22 at 7:00pm, where the course will reveal approximately 1 million lights with over forty fun creations with animated capabilities.

Make a difference on Wednesday, October 22 for the precious cats of Crash's Landing by visiting one of 14 different Pizza Hut’s.

Print the flier from Crash Landing & Sid’s Sanctuary web site. Present the filier to one of 14 Pizza Hut locations from 11am – 11pm for Dine-in, Carry-out or Delivery to get 20% of your bill donated to Crash’s Landing and Sanctuary for their assistance with stray cats.

Walker Ice Arena is hosting a Halloween Skary Skate on Friday, October 24th from 8 – 10 pm.

Treats, prizes, fun and a costume contest are on the venue for the evening. Come join in the fun.

3rd Annual Lace up for Kids Run & Free Health & Wellness Expo

The community is invited to 5th/3rd Ballpark located at 4500 West River Drive in Comstock Park, Michigan 49321 on Saturday, October 4 to visit participating local businesses at the Health & Wellness Expo starting at 8:00am.

The 5K Run begins at 9:00am with the Health Expo continuing after the race.

This special race will benefit Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Foundation, making a difference in the lives of children & families.

Extended Days & Hours at Alpine Township Library

Extended Days & Hours at Alpine Township Library

The Kent District Library is increasing hours for Alpine Township, Caledonia Township & Spencer Township branches for a total of 35 hours per week for all three branches. The Alpine Township Library will be open on Thursdays, along with an additional hour on Friday’s beginning on Monday, September 29.

The new open hours schedule is:

Mondays: 12:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesdays: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Wednesdays: 12:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursdays: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Fridays: 12:00 – 5:00 PM, Saturdays: 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM & Sundays: Closed.

Let’s Kick Hunger - Million Meal March on September 27

For the 3rd year, with your participation, this popular 10K will help benefit the Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank in Comstock Park.

Although the event is free to attend, participants are encouraged to raise $100, which is the equivalent to 400 meals for Feeding America West Michigan.

Be a part of the fight against hunger this Saturday, September 27 at 10:00am on the White Pine Trail, across from the Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank located at 864 West River Center Drive in Comstock Park.

On Wednesday, September 24 from 11am to 11pm the public is invited to present the coupon to any one of the 14 Pizza Hut locations and 20% of their total bill will be donated to Crash’s Landing & Big Sid’s Sanctuary. This is included for Dine-in, Carry out or Delivery.

The Flier has the list & addresses of the 14 participating Pizza Hut locations on the North & South side.
