Meeting To Improve Westgate Park - March 12
Meeting To Improve Westgate Park - March 12

From Alpine Township Offices:

Westgate Neighborhood Park Improvements!

The swing set, overhead monkey bars, spring teeter-totter and play house were removed for the sanitary sewer construction last summer and it is doubtful they can be re-installed. Replacement playground equipment is expensive so we would like your input on what you would like to see in Westgate Neighborhood Park. By providing your input, you’ll help determine what improvements the Township will make to the park this year, so your voice is extremely important.

The Alpine Township Parks and Recreation Committee invites you to join them and share your input at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12th at the Township Offices to help formulate plans for some improvements to Westgate Park this year.

At this point in time, the Township is considering tennis court maintenance, new playground equipment to replace what was removed and possibly moving the playground further from the creek. What type of equipment or improvements would you like? If there is playground equipment you like at another park; please let us know what it is and what park it is at so staff and the Recreation Committee can take a look at it. Ask your kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews what they would like. You can even mail your child’s drawing of what they would like to the Township Offices (please label the illustration).

All thoughts and comments are welcome and encouraged. If you have any questions or would like to share some additional thoughts, please contact Planning Director Sue Becker at 784-9090 or s.becker@alpinetwp.org
