Alpine Township Historical Commission presents The French and Indian War

From: http://www.alpinetwp.org

The January 16th Alpine Township Historical Open House will focus on The French and Indian War, as presented by Tim Todish. He has retired from the Grand Rapids Police Department and for over 30 years has done historical research, been involved in living history interpretation and is an author of numerous books on America’s history. Tim provided background research and worked as a reenactor-extra in the 1992 move, The Last of the Mohicans.

The French & Indian War, 1755 to 1763, is a very important and often misunderstood conflict. It set the stage for the American Revolution that followed and determined for all time that the British culture would be dominate in North America. In a series of wars, lasting over 100 years, France and England struggled for control of North America.
