Women's Night Out - Late Night Luau tickets go on sale this saturday

Mark your calendars - tickets for the 1st Annual Women's Night Out - Late Night Luau go on sale Saturday, November 13 at the Comstock Park Arts & Crafts Show.  The Comstock Park PTO will have a table at the show offering tickets for the January 21, 2011 event.  Tickets are $20 general admission, additional $5 to reserve a scrapbook/craft table (limited availability).  Get your girlfriends together for an evening of pampering, entertainment, silent auction, vendor shopping and more.  All proceeds to benefit the Comstock Park PTO.

Comstock Park Arts & Crafts Show this weekend

Put on your comfy shoes, grab your checkbook and head over to the annual Comstock Park Arts & Crafts Show this Saturday, November 13.  Approximately 170 vendors will be selling their products from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm at the Comstock Park High School, located at 150 Six Mile Road NE.  Admission is FREE and lunch will be available. 

The show is set up and run by the students in the National Honor Society who use all the proceeds for service projects that benefit both the schools and community.

Panthers to battle Cougars this Saturday

The CPHS Panthers Varsity Football team will be playing in the MHSAA Division IV, Region 1 Championship playoff game this Saturday, November 13, at 2:00 PM against the Grand Rapids Catholic Central Cougars.  The game will be played at Grand Rapids Christian High School located at 2300 Plymouth Ave. SE.

Presale tickets are now available from the CPHS athletic office for $5.00 each.  No passes are accepted at this event.  The athletic office is open from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM daily.

Three Good Excuses to Dine at Applebee's more than once this Month

There are ate least three good excuses to dine and have fun at Applebee's at 3851 Alpine Ave NW the next two weeks (besides great food and fun).

1.  Veterans and active military personnel eat free on Veteran's Day, this Thursday, November 11, 2010.  That's also a chance for you to treat some one!

2.  Wednesday November 17th is Ladies Night Out.

3.  Friday, November 19th, 20% of your check will be donated to the Comstock Park Rotary Club by the Alpine Applebee's provided you bring a coupon.

Comstock Park to face Kingsford this weekend

Comstock Park, MI - If Comstock Park's season has been any example then the drive to Kingsford to watch their next playoff game will be worth your time. The Massey ratings match-up has the game at 22 to 19 in Comstock Park's favor so it could be a nail biter.

The team will be heading out Friday and returning Saturday after the game. The game starts at 12:00 pm central time.

Alpine Township Hosts First Annual Fall Halloween Fest

The number of people who attended the first Alpine Township Fall Halloween Festival probably guaranteed that the event will be repeated next year.  Hundred of kids and parents came to the Township Sports Complex and enjoyed free hot dogs, donuts, apple cider, ice cream and candy.  There  were free apples too, and even pumpkins for all kids who wanted to take one home.  Organizers Jim May and Ron Cordes, both Township Trustees, were very pleased with the outcome, and wish to thank the many volunteers that helped make this a success.  They also like to thank the following donors:

KHPS Technology department showcase - Thursday, Oct 28

The third annual Technology Department Showcase to highlight technology programs at Kenowa Hills will be held Thursday, October 28th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. There will be several University and College representatives from Michigan Engineering, Architecture and Graphic Art programs available to speak with parents. Many students will also be showing off their work, and discussing future design competitions we participate in.
