Sam’s Club will host free men’s health screenings June 8 in honor of Men’s Health Month.

The free screenings will take place 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at all Sam’s Club stores that contain a pharmacy.  While the health screening event focuses on men’s health, free testing will be available for women as well.

Testing available during the free health screening event would normally cost an uninsured individual up to $150.  The tests include:

  • PSA (prostate-specific antigen) test for men
  • TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) test for women
  • Blood pressure
  • BMI (body mass index)
  • Vision

Recent surveys have found many men do not visit their primary care physician annually, even though preventative screenings can reduce the risk of common diseases like prostate cancer.

Sam’s Club has four pharmacies in West Michigan at the following locations:

  • 3901 Alpine Ave. N.W.
