Dozing Hummer driver strikes Kent Co. deputy's cruiser

ALPINE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- No one was seriously hurt was hurt when a Hummer SUV collided with a Kent County Sheriff's deputy cruiser Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. at Lamoreaux Dr. and Stony Creek Ave. NW.
Authorities say the driver of the Hummer fell asleep at the wheel and struck the deputy's vehicle at a stop sign.
The deputy was taken to a hospital for a health evaluation as a precaution.
