Big crowd at the 8th annual Beer Fest | News

COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. (WZZM) - New numbers released Monday show the 8th annual Beer Fest over the weekend in Comstock Park was an even bigger success than organizers first reported.

MiBeer.com reports 7,500 people attended the event at Fifth Third Ballpark Saturday. It featured 74 brewers, 625 beers, and 240 barrels.

"Tickets sold out much quicker even though there were more [tickets available]," said Scott Graham, who is the Michigan Brewers Guild's executive director. "We certainly have a record crowd and everybody's having a good time."

Revenue from festivals like this help cover operation costs for the Michigan's Brewers Guild.
