CPPS - Enrollment Update

From: http://www.cppschools.com/

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I am writing to you today to deliver good news concerning the district. After having diligently worked to verify enrollment last week, our K-12 student count is higher than anticipated. We had planned and budgeted for 2,375 students in the spring and can verify 2,438 students as of Friday, September 10.

This increase in students will necessitate the addition of some instructional staff. Building administrators have expressed specific areas of concern and where additional resources could prove to be the most beneficial for students.

Based on this information, I am pleased to share with you that we will be adding instructional staff in kindergarten, first grade, second grade, fourth grade, and fifth grade.

Look for Pedestrian Traffic and School Busses

With school in full swing again, drivers should pay closer attention to pedestrians, both in suburban as well as rural neighborhoods.  Alpine Township has a significant number of streets without sidewalks.   Also please remember that it is illegal to pass a schoobus that is flashing its red lights.

Mill Creek Middle School - Homework Hotline

From: http://www.cppschools.com

Parents and students may call 254-5997 to hear a message regarding a team’s homework for that day. We suggest calling the Homework Hotline to check the student’s accuracy in recording assignments in the Student Planner. The prompt will ask you to push a number assigned to a specific team (see below).

Push 1 for the 6th grade 3 person team
Push 2 for the 6th grade 4 person team
Push 3 for the 7th grade team
Push 4 for the 8th grade team
