Some Culver's Restaurants to Help Victims of Tornadoes & Floods on June 14th

News Release:

Grand Rapids, MI- In an effort to assist in the relief efforts for those affected by devastating tornadoes and floods that have ravaged the country this spring, Culver’s restaurants will sponsor a “Day of Giving.” Participating restaurants nationwide, including the Grand Rapids area restaurants listed below, will dedicate 10% of sales on Tuesday, June 14th to American Red Cross Disaster Relief.

Update on Flood Warning for the Grand River in Comstock Park

COMSTOCK PARK, MI -  The National Weather Service says the Flood Warning continues for the Grand River near Comstock Park until Thursday evening.  At 8:43 am Saturday the stage was 13.3 feet.  Flood stage is 12.0 feet.  Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
 

Forecast: the river will continue rising to near 13.5 feet overnight. The river will fall below flood stage Wednesday before midnight.
 

Impact:  At 13.0 feet,  Abrigador Trail is underwater and minor  flooding of homes occurs along Abrigador Trail and Willow Drive.


Flood history:  This crest compares to a previous crest of 13.4 feet on March 13, 2009.
